IVF and Microinjection
Normally, the female egg cell and the male egg cell meet in the woman's tubes and fertilization occurs. If the egg cells of both sexes are taken out of the body by various methods, compared in the laboratory and fertilized by the female egg cell, this is called the IVF method. If a single male egg cell (sperm) is inserted into the female egg cell with a needle, this fertilization method is also called microinjection. Then, the new living thing (the baby's first cells) formed by this method is placed in the uterus and it is waited for about 10-15 days for it to attach.
