Ectopic pregnancy
Fertilization of the female egg cell by the sperm occurs in the tubes. Then, when this fertilized egg cell comes to the uterus and settles, a normal pregnancy occurs. However, if this fertilized egg cannot reach the uterus for various reasons and settles in the tube as it is most commonly seen, this situation is called ectopic pregnancy. Menstrual delay, irregular bleeding and pain are the most common symptoms. Once diagnosed, it is treated with medication or surgery.
